Suicide Prevention Network
The Youth Centre opened in September 2018 and by the end of April 2019 there has been more than 500 visitations by youth from around the Copper Coast.
Many are now regular attendees, with the centre open on Mondays and Wednesdays after school (3.10pm-5pm) and Saturdays and Sundays 1-4 pm. The exceptions are on public holidays or days of significance such as Mother’s Day.
Feedback from parents has been extremely positive with some even stating that their family dynamic has improved enormously.
The Youth Centre provides a place to socialise, make new friends, develop new relationships and above all, relax and have a fun time playing a range of games, or just chatting.
